Flight Scheduling

Flight Scheduling is located in the operations section, which is the nerve center of flight training at IFTA. Flight scheduling personnel post daily, weekly and monthly training schedules in this area.

The current flying status of any trainee, instructor or aircraft can be monitored by referencing the scheduling board.

Trainees are required to request a time check on IFTA's approved company frequency. This establishes the official beginning of their mission. Trainees also report entering/leaving our local practice areas on this company radio frequency.

An instructor pilot is scheduled to be on duty in this area whenever a company aircraft is airborne. This instructor makes the final approval for solo flight and monitors weather and other training activity.
